01
Claim-Based Nether Progression
Nether territory is tied to OneChunk progression. The goal is to make dimension travel meaningful without letting portals bypass the claim system.
As with the Overworld, your accessible Nether world grows through territory your OneChunk progression legitimately owns.
02
Portal Routing
OneChunk tracks portal relationships so Nether-to-Overworld travel stays inside valid territory.
If the vanilla-scaled Overworld destination is already claimed, OneChunk can use or create a local secondary portal route there. If that scaled destination is still unclaimed, travel falls back to the frontier's original valid Overworld portal instead of creating a portal inside locked land.
03
Persistent Links
Portal links are stored per OneChunk world and revalidated before use. This prevents one team's portal network from silently crossing into another team's progression.
Breaking a tracked portal or nearby frame invalidates saved links so the route can be rebuilt correctly.
04
Why It Works This Way
Vanilla portal scaling can otherwise place players in territory they have never earned. Claim-aware routing keeps Nether travel useful while preserving the core rule that new land comes from OneChunk progression.
